"This website is managed by Ella’s Hope for Autism, a non-profit for Autism in Missouri that was started by a lady from my hometown! Her daughter has autism and she has been an inspiring beacon of light for other families of children with autism. This website offers free autism advice and insight for parents with children on the spectrum." -Carrie's Ultimate Resource Guide
The AutismSpeaks website provides the DSM-V criteria and examples of each within the categories. Additionally, this site provides the other identifying criteria required to establish an Autism diagnosis: behaviors must cause a functional, social, and/or life impairment, symptoms must be present in early developmental period (so around ages 1-3), and symptoms cannot be better explained by other global developmental or intellectual disorders. AutismSpeaks is also a great avenue to look up more information and resources.
"If you haven’t checked out my Autism Resource Page yet, please head on over! It contains information about autism as well as links to all of my autism-related articles, videos, and podcasts." -Carries Autism Resource Page
